Notice on the Joint Organization of the "2026 China-ASEAN International Summer Camp on Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation" by the College of Agriculture, Guangxi University and the State Key Laboratory for Conservation and Utilization of Subtropical Agro-Bioresources
In order to promote academic and cultural exchanges among outstanding university students across the country and to enhance their understanding of the College of Agriculture of Guangxi University and the State Key Laboratory for Conservation and Utilization of Subtropical Agro-Bioresources, our college, in conjunction with the State Key Laboratory, plans to host the "2026 China-ASEAN International Summer Camp on Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation" from July 22 to 28, 2026.

II. Selection Criteria
Support the Communist Party of China, possess firm socialist ideals and convictions, exhibit good moral character, abide by laws and regulations, be physically and mentally healthy, honest, and trustworthy, with an upright academic style. Applicants should be interested in pursuing graduate studies at Guangxi University, possess strong scientific research potential, and be aspiring to engage in relevant scientific research work.
Outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate students majoring in agriculture-related disciplines from ASEAN countries and countries along the "Belt and Road" initiative.
Third-year undergraduate students (graduating class of 2027) from domestic universities that are qualified to recommend students for exemption from the postgraduate entrance examination, majoring in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Resources and Environment, Plant Protection, or other related disciplines.
Excellent academic performance: The overall grade ranking for the first three academic years (or the first five semesters) must be within the top 30% of the same major and grade at the home institution; or applicants with a weighted average score above 70 across all subjects whose major ranking is not within the top 30% but who demonstrate outstanding performance in other areas (e.g., relevant scientific research achievements, for which copies of supporting materials must be provided) may also apply.
Proficiency in English: Attained the national CET-4/CET-6 level (score of 425 or above), or achieved excellent results in tests such as TOEFL or GRE.
Applicants with outstanding scientific research achievements will be given priority consideration.
III. Application Process
1. Online Registration
Students wishing to apply for this summer camp must package the following application materials (arranged in the order of the headings below and merged into a single PDF file, named in the format: University + Major + Name) and send it to the email address: chenyzhi@163.com between July 6 and July 20. (No application materials will be accepted after the deadline).
(1) Application Form for the 2026 China-ASEAN International Summer Camp on Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation (Appendix);
(2) Academic transcripts for the undergraduate stage (transcripts available up to the date of application, stamped by the university's academic affairs department);
(3) Proof of overall grade ranking for the first five semesters (issued by the home college);
(4) Supporting materials for English proficiency, such as scores from national CET-4, CET-6, or TOEFL/IELTS/GRE tests that demonstrate foreign language proficiency;
(5) One scanned copy each of the applicant's valid second-generation Resident ID Card and Student ID Card;
(6) One Online Verification Report of Higher Education Student Status;
(7) Proof of scientific research achievements (e.g., published papers, patents, software copyrights, and publicity of student innovation and entrepreneurship project funding. For papers, please attach the cover, table of contents, and the first page of the text of the publication; if not yet formally published, attach the official acceptance letter);
(8) Other supporting materials (e.g., various award certificates).
Items (1) and (2) of the materials must be scanned copies after being signed and/or stamped.
Note: Applicants must ensure the truthfulness and accuracy of all submitted application materials. If any fraud is found, the admission to the camp will be revoked, and the applicant's home institution will be notified. Incomplete application materials will not be processed, and submitted materials will not be returned.
2. Review and Admission
The period after July 20 is the material review stage, and no further registrations will be accepted. Selected participants will be notified via email. Please pay close attention to your inbox.
3. Camper Registration
Campers must bring their ID cards and student ID cards to register on time at the College of Agriculture, Guangxi University.
IV. Format of Activities
The 2026 China-ASEAN International Summer Camp on Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation will be conducted offline.

VI. Selection of Outstanding Campers
During the summer camp, the college will carry out the selection and evaluation of outstanding campers.
1. Content of Evaluation
(1) Personal Presentation: Display scientific research ability and foundational qualifications through PPT or other forms. Time limit: 5 minutes (accounts for 60% of the total score);
(2) Comprehensive Interview: Accounts for 40% of the total score.
2. Application of Evaluation Results
The college will determine the list of outstanding campers based on the total evaluation score and award them the "Outstanding Camper Certificate" and "Camp Graduation Certificate."
VII. Logistics and Management
During the summer camp, the College of Agriculture will provide accommodation and meals in Nanning for camp participants (accommodation is not provided for students from local universities in Nanning). Transportation expenses shall be borne by the participants.
Participants should attend activities on time and abide by the relevant rules, regulations, requirements, and discipline of the summer camp.
Participants are solely responsible for their personal safety and property safety during the summer camp. Please stay safe.
VIII. Additional Explanations
This activity plan is a tentative schedule and will be adjusted in a timely manner in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Ministry of Education, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the university. Please follow subsequent notices for specific arrangements.
